Fluidmaster Supports Local Spinathon

On Saturday, May 17th, members of the Fluidmaster team donned their cycle shorts for a local charity event.

Fluidmaster were proud to support a local spinathon in support of #ANDYSMANSCLUB, a charity focused on men’s mental health. The event saw dozens of enthusiastic spinners take on the 12 hour event, participating in back to back spin classes. In addition to fielding one bike with volunteers, Fluidmaster also sponsored two additional bikes for anyone who wished to attend. With music pumping, high spirits and cake on hand, the event was a huge success. This event was a fitting end to #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and some participants chose to attend the full 12 hours.

#ANDYSMANSCLUB offer free to attend peer-to-peer support groups across the UK and online. With a mission to get men talking, the charity aims to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health through the power of conversation. With over 270 groups each week and over 5800 weekly attendees, local athlete Alex Knowles is hoping to bring one of these groups to the local area. In support of this, Alex is undertaking a number of gruelling races and events as part of Project Possible.

“We know how important mental health is, especially in the trade industry that we serve, where it is often overlooked”, said Michelle Joinson at Fluidmaster. “Supporting Andy’s Mans Club is just one way we are committed to making sure no one suffers in silence.”

Thank you for everyone that got involved – organisers, participants and supporters.
